Fellow Rotarians “The Future of Rotary is in Your Hands”. After 6 years as a dedicated Rotarian, I am particularly excited about leading the Sebago Lake Rotary Club during the 2009-2010 year.
The club is looking forward to a fun and exciting year. We jump right into summer by hosting our annual Poker Party and move forward with other activities while preparing for our big winter event, the Ice Fishing Derby on Sebago Lake.
We hope to continue our work of feeding the residents at Unity Gardens, a local assisted living facility. This is an exciting event at which Rotarians have fun serving and eating with local residents. Plans are in place to continue and hopefully expand our new “reading in the schools” program.
In the future, we will be talking with the staff from Seeds of Peace to see how Rotarians can contribute to their mission, and, as always, contributions toward Rotary International’s goal of eradicating Polio in the world are of high importance to the club.
Every year brings new challenges and new projects. This year is already proving to be an exciting one. We hope you will consider joining us at one of our regular weekly meetings sometime soon!
